I was not a big fan of this one either, not as good a Cloverfield,even though just years apart. The director has gone on to make some interesting looking movies, so maybe doing a "found footage" movie is a good way to start a career into film making, it has worked for some.

Trollhunter Episode 54

We are a podcast that talks about, you guessed it...Movies. We love some, hate some, and are sometimes indifferent towards them. We talk about some of the problems that we see.
