TROLL: One who posts a deliberately provocative message to a chat room with the intention of causing maximum disruption and argument

His objects are to hurt people and attract attention to himself. He may post something wildly inflammatory  on the site or in direct opposition to the theme of the article. It may be a logically  well-written post or a string of obscenities. He gets some gratification just from posting, But  gets more gratification when he gets a reply. Now he knows that someone is upset. This is a victory some trolls will sit back and watch other comments get posted by readers or authors whom he has enraged. Other trolls, will continue to post  The more replies,  criticisms and denunciations, the more gratification he gets.
