His investigation may be all wet, but Drum isnt one to quit. Finding Severing will mean lying to West Germans, East Germans, and Nazis, and perfecting the triple-cross that is the favorite pastime of European Cold Warriors.

Glad to see Stephen Marlowe's old pulp mysteries available as ebooks. Read 'em all back in the day. I was a big Chester Drum fan. And I greatly enjoyed this rereading...
Unless you are doing research, save your money.
Back when (1950s) I was a fan of Marlowe and a raft of other writers of his ilk. I thought since Amazon was giving me a discount I might try this one. As a study of what passed for mystery/fiction over the past 60 years you will be delighted to know the genre has improved considerably. This story might appeal to a 15 year old (about my age when reading this stuff) but the plot is thin, the action unbelievable, and the characters are cardboard.

Low priced easy read. Good plot though a little meandering.
