True Crime: Dagmar Overby

Listen Later

In today’s very short episode, Saaniya covers the case of Dagmar Overby - a Danish serial killer who murdered 9, and possibly even more children, between 1913 and 1920. This case is particularly upsetting because I think the women involved really thought they were doing what was best for their children in giving them up so they could find better homes. This case actually inspired the government to change the legislation on childcare - “unwanted children” were considered the government's responsibility, and the Danish Government passed a law in 1923 that required public houses be built to foster children.

We also know that this episode wasn’t as fun without Maddie, but if you missed her as much as I did be sure to come back next week for a very short but pretty fun paranormal story!

Stay safe out there.

With love, Saaniya and Maddie x
