During the week of April 1, 1984, soul-singing sensation Marvin Gaye was shot and killed. After a lifetime of tension, Marvin and his father got into a heated argument that ended with the singer’s murder.

The same week in 1995, music superstar Selena Quintanilla was gunned down at the age of 23. Her killer was the president of Selena’s own fan club.
