Thomas Warren Whisenhant was a 63 year old man from Alabama when he was executed via lethal injection for the 1976 kidnapping, rape, and murder of Cheryl Lynn Payton. He died on Tuesday, May 27th, 2010, and before he was executed, he was in jail for 32 years, 8 months, and 20 days before his execution (longer than any other prisoner had spent on Death Row in the state of Alabama).
