France has had some prolific serial killers but if the 150 supposed kills by Yvan Keller, the Pillow Killer, are all true then he might be the most prolific serial killer of the 20th century. Active between 1989 and 2003, Yvan was a landscape gardener who gained access to the houses of elderly women who lived alone in France, Switzerland, and Germany. He would then smother them with a pillow before robbing them. While he confessed to many many murders, he was only indicted for five deaths. So did he actually kill that many women? Or is this a case of megalomania?
