Sometimes things don't turn as expected.  When aspirations of achievement and success are thwarted, or one's core sense self-value goes off the rails, or expectations are not met, where does one find meaning and fulfillment?  This passage of the Gospel of Mark brings hope, meaning, and personal value in an unexpected manner.  The way of God is amazingly helpful at the deepest personal level.
