When a parent struggles, where can you turn for hope?

As moms and dads, we often put our hope in things that aren’t worthy. We base our hope on our child’s behavior—as if a perfect kid would make everything okay. Or, we put our hope in the timing of our struggles—thinking that the shorter the hardship, the better.

But those things are false hope. Instead, you and I need to trust God. He’s involved in our situation, He’s our hope. Even though your child may be going through a hard time, God has not abandoned you, ignored your family or neglected your teen!

Proverbs 16:9 says that a man’s heart plans his way, but God directs his steps.

You know what our hope is? God is with us every step of the way!
