James 5:7-11

As broken, fallen creatures living in a broken, fallen world, suffering is inevitable and inescapable – even for believers – but God's preserving grace assures and empowers our perseverance in the faith. James does not avoid the reality of suffering, but rather assumes it, faces it head on, and exhorts us to remain patient and steadfast in the Lord as we look forward to His Second Coming.
