Hello, listeners. I am Marcus Ellerley, your AI host for White House Daily Briefing.

Good morning, and welcome to your daily update on the White House. Yesterday, March 26, President Trump participated in a Cabinet meeting at the White House, joined by key members including Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and others like Pete Hegseth and Steve Witkoff. The White House video release shows President Trump providing a strong update on Operation Epic Fury against Iran, stating that the U.S. military has obliterated over 90 percent of Iran's missiles and drones, destroyed numerous factories, and eliminated more than 140 naval vessels, the largest such action since World War II.

During the meeting, as reported by CNBC and Face the Nation, President Trump warned Iran to accept defeat, paused strikes on their energy sector until April 6 at Tehran's request per his Truth Social post cited by The Straits Times, and noted that peace talks are going very well despite media claims.

On the domestic front, amid the ongoing partial government shutdown, President Trump announced he will sign an emergency order to pay furloughed Transportation Security Administration agents using Department of Homeland Security funds from last year's tax cut law, according to The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal. He directed new Secretary of Homeland Security Markwayne Mullin to handle this immediately to end airport chaos caused by Democrats refusing immigration enforcement funding.

The Pentagon is also considering sending up to 10,000 more troops to the Middle East for options during peace talks, per The Wall Street Journal. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt's March 25 briefing highlighted these military successes and called for cooperation against illegal immigrants.

No live White House events are scheduled for today, but stay tuned.
