Episode #322: Trump, Closer Than Six Feet Away

Jonathan Karl, the chief White House correspondent for ABC News, is here to talk about his new book, “Front Row at the Trump Show,” where he offers some of his observations and surreal anecdotes from covering the 45th president.

John Sears, a Ronald Reagan strategist who inspired the bold move to name a running mate in 1976 ahead of the convention and then got fired in 1980 the day Reagan won the N.H. primary, died last week.  Lou Cannon, who during the Reagan presidency was the chief White House correspondent for the Washington Post, recalls the role Sears played in getting the former California governor elected to the presidency.

And former Sen. Russ Feingold (D-Wis.), who along with the late John McCain was responsible for a sweeping and historic campaign finance bill passed by the Senate 19 years ago this week, talks about the work done to push the bill through a GOP-controlled Congress.
