Donald Trump and the GOP are pushing us further into recession territory and eliminating the normal policy responses to the bust end of the cycle. When the cycle finally breaks the result will be more of an implosion than an explosion, subsuming the bottom half of the economic population. And that’s fine with them. In fact, they’re banking on it.
