Here are some of the domestic and global implications predicted for Trump's second term, based on world reactions:

● Israel is expected to benefit from Trump’s return to the White House. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called Trump’s return to the White House a “new beginning for America and a powerful recommitment to the great alliance between Israel and America”. Other Israeli officials expressed hopes for a stronger US-Israel alliance, the return of hostages, the defeat of Iran, and God's blessing on both Israel and America.

● Hamas believes Trump’s victory will test his earlier claim that he can stop the war in Gaza within hours. Hamas official Sami Abu Zuhri also stated that the Democratic party’s loss is a consequence of its “criminal stance” towards Gaza. Another Hamas official urged the US to stop its “blind support” for Israel in the war.

● Russia does not appear enthusiastic about Trump's win. Although former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev noted that Trump's business acumen would make him less likely to spend money on “hangers-on” and “stupid hanger-on allies”, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that there were no plans for Putin to congratulate Trump, calling the US an “unfriendly country”.

● Many world leaders congratulated Trump and expressed optimism for strengthened relationships with the US. Leaders from the UK, NATO, the EU, France, Hungary, Turkey, Australia, Germany, India, Pakistan, Italy, the Netherlands, Austria, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, the Czech Republic, Romania, and El Salvador all congratulated Trump on his victory. Many of these leaders expressed hopes for continued and strengthened alliances and partnerships.
