Hello, Oklahoma City!
I was driving around delivering stuff when the radio informed me that Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey had announced that the platform would “no longer accept any political advertising.” In an elongated bombinational post on his own platform, he explained that political messaging “should be earned, no bought.” He then expressed that he is “looking forward” to political ad regulation.
Look… Twitter is a private company, and they can do whatever they want (within the applicable laws and regulatory frameworks), including taking a metaphorical swipe at the other social media platform that everybody (including me) is mad at pretty much all the time. That said, can we cut through all the self-aggrandizement and ask a few, shall we say, pointed, questions about this?
