Reviewing the works of God during the Exodus is a great way of using God's past works to encourage trust in the present. Why is it that reminding ourselves what God has done in the past encourages us to trust Him in the present?

Have you ever poetically expressed praise to God (e.g. through exaggerated descriptions, emotional descriptions, flowery languages, etc.) for His past works? Is poetic worship uncomfortable for you? What would a poetic description look like from you right now?
