Praying is one of the most basic parts of being a Christian. When you’re first a believer, you might feel like you don’t know how to pray ‘correctly’. While prayer is actually not that complicated, it had gotten very twisted up in Jesus’ time. So Jesus takes the opportunity while speaking to a crowd on a hillside, and teaches them how to pray. Some people today may be surprised to learn that the introduction to this prayer seems to strongly recommend against saying this (or any prayer) over and over again. But we can learn so much from what Jesus says in His teaching. So we’ll be taking the next three weeks to sort through and learn all that we can from the “Lord’s Prayer.”
