Fear is certainly not your friend and Faith is certainly not your estranged enemy.  Trust is the game changer. It moves one from believing to receiving. It is in the knowing that the fire is hot but it doesn't matter when your Heavenly Father has the visit to Nebuchadnezzar 's tanning salon (AKA the fiery furnace). Or if you, like Daniel, have a dinner appointment with hungry animals who will also join you for a for a secluded overnight stay.
