Trust is relational, not transactional.  Relationships require trust.  Without trust a real relationship is not a reality.  It works the same with God.  From the beginning He has wanted relationship with us, and it has always required trust.  The depth of a relationship is directly tied to the amount of trust involved.  Where is God inviting you into deeper relationship with Him and so into deeper trust of Him.  He is trustworthy.
