The foundation to any relationship in the world is trust. Whether it’s a husband and wife, parent and child, friendship, working partnership, or anything else, trust is an absolutely essential component to make the relationship work. The same is 100% true of our relationship with God. We even often use the term “trusting in Jesus as our Savior” to describe our salvation experience. So if trust is so essential, how come it can be so hard so much of the time to practically live that out with God? When we walk through the tough times, the storms of life, are we truly trusting in the faithfulness of Jesus? Or are we just trying to control what we can?
