1. How does God’s providence relate to the problem of evil? 
    (Isaiah 45:7, 2 Samuel 12:15, Genesis 38:7 & 10)

 
2. God is for us. (Romans 8:31-32, Genesis 39:20-21)

 
3. God works all things for our good. (Romans 8:28, Genesis 45:5,7-8; 50:20)

 
4. God’s invisible hand guides all things. (Exodus 2:1-10)

 
5. God’s providence doesn’t mean that we won’t suffer. (Genesis 37,39. Exodus 2)

 
6. God’s providence isn’t about us, it’s about God’s glory. (Exodus 14:3-4)

 
7. Our job is to trust the shepherd. (Psalm 23)

• Think about and discuss why we often place a higher priority on our own health and safety (and those we love) rather than on the kingdom of God advancing.
• Ask God to help you trust Him more.  And when you face challenges, tell God that you trust Him no matter what happens.
