God is our source. He is who provides for us and empowers our giving. When we look back at the biblical account of the Israelites and their miraculous provision in the wilderness, we see we need to shift trust from material wealth to God's divine provision. One way we demonstrate this trust is through tithing, or giving ten percent of what we’ve been given back to God.
