Trash Club invites creatives from multidisciplinary practices from around the world to discuss what it means to be creative: the ups and downs and how our successes and failures shape who we are both personally and professionally.
About the Host:
Aswan Magumbe is a Fashion Journalist who recently graduated from Central Saint Martins. Aswan works with a range of publications and businesses where she predominantly writes as well as social media, PR and styling assistance. For her final graduation project, she created BLIQ Magazine, a publication that aspires to celebrate young Black British creatives.
About the Guests:
Katy Mason is a visionary artist who makes striking creations out of objects that might conventionally be perceived as rubbish, into art. She is also a co-founder of Trash Club and Soup Archive, a quirky clothing upcycling initiative founded alongside Sophie Ruane and Jasmine Febbraro.
Paul Ayre is an art director, director, author and lecturer. With an extensive career spanning over 25 years, he has worked for some of television’s most respected brands including Nickelodeon UK and MTV Europe. For the last 15 years Paul has run 14:59, a multidisciplinary studio working across the different communication areas of broadcast, moving image, advertising, branding, fashion and art.
