Psalm 49

Verse 20: People who have wealth but lack understanding are like the beasts that perish.

Verse 14: They are like sheep and are destined to die; death will be their shepherd

   (but the upright will prevail over them in the morning). Their forms will decay in the grave,

   far from their princely mansions.

Verse 8: the ransom for a life is costly, no payment is ever enough—

Verse 17: for they will take nothing with them when they die, their splendor will not descend with them.

Ecclesiastes 3:19 Surely the fate of human beings is like that of the animals; the same fate awaits them both: As one dies, so dies the other. All have the same breath; humans have no advantage over animals. Everything is meaningless.
