Married and divorced in less than two years? No one thinks they’re signing up for that. Ronna gets real with her experience of getting divorced in her 20s and having to figure out how to move forward with her life. She shares experiences of moving home with her parents, investing in her physical health as a distraction, and having to face the hard emotions that come with the end of something that wasn’t meant to be. Ronna talks learning to trust herself, remarriage, and creating a new life when her original plan didn’t work out. She shares her message of hope and lessons learned in today’s episode.

Ronna Severson is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the state of MN and has been working as a therapist for over 10 years. She grew up and returned to rural Minnesota following her graduation from her master’s program and tries to take in as much of the lake life as she can. As a mom of two, Ronna has had to learn to balance her love of physical fitness/sports with caring for the needs of others. Ronna identifies as a brainspotting therapist who works with highly motivated and caregiving women who find themselves constantly pouring into others to help them feel less overwhelmed, reclaim their self-worth and realign their values.
