"What's on your mind", "talk to me" , "you can tell me anything baby" ... yeah okay. There are any number of reasons why women ask these or related questions of their men. I mean if you can't ask your man something you're curious about, who else can you ask. My retort, why are you asking things you don't really want to know or aren't prepared to handle?
