How do we stay conscious, compassionate, and psychologically steady when confronted with large, unsettling public stories?
...really sitting with the unknown is so uncomfortable.
In this episode, I reflect on the tension many of us feel between staying informed and becoming overwhelmed โ between engagement and mental saturation. Using the ongoing conversation around the Epstein files as a starting point, I explore why uncertainty is so destabilizing, why speculation is so seductive, and why truth, historically, rarely emerges quickly or cleanly.
I also share thoughts on the role of courageous journalism, the patience required for real understanding, and the importance of protecting our own nervous systems in an age of nonstop information.
