Daniel faces a life-threatening situation as a direct result of his faith and obedience to God. Daniel knows that Yahweh is king, and has made it his goal to bring people to faith in Him. In spite of this threat to life and limb brought by an unbeliever, and facing a torturous death, Daniel could still have peace, knowing that God is in complete control.
