The 9th commandment reminds us that God hates lies and deception because His very nature is Truth. It is the truth that sets us free from living a life of deception. As we consider the 9th commandment, we are looking at how we lie and give false witness against others today, what motivates that kind of falsehood and how we can rather use our words to edify others and be a faithful witness of the gospel.
