The DA says residents of the City of Tshwane will continue to suffer irreparable harm while the legal battle for control of the capital city continues. Gauteng MEC for Co-operative Governance, Lebogang Maile, has filed an application to appeal yesterday's Pretoria High Court Judgment at the Supreme Court of Appeals. The high court ruled that the metro council could sit to elect a new mayor pending a constitutional court case. The Supreme Court appeal effectively prolongs the tenure of the administrator who was appointed by the ANC led provincial administration. What is at play here and how much of this can Tshwane residents take? This being the capital city, what sort of impact will it have on the ground and what does this mean for the political parties at the centre of the storm?
