Ryan Duns is a Jesuit priest and theologian. He is also an assistant professor of theology at Marquette University. In the first half of the episode, we talk about his book Spiritual Exercises for a Secular Age and some of the main figures who feature in it, including William Desmond, Charles Taylor, and Pierre Hadot. The second half of the episode focuses on Ryan's contemplative practices and insights, and how he includes both in his courses.
