Tangled in Tudor Times’ Bella Salas keeps me on the trail of Tudor tidbits. In this episode I look for relics of The Other Woman, Anne Boleyn. Did Anne’s little neck have a chance of surviving her marriage with Henry VIII? His battle to dispose of his first wife, Katherine of Aragon, resulted in a seven year courtship of Anne. He was crazy about her, as long as she kept up her Don’t-do-a-thing-till-you- get- that- ring- plan. And then what?
From January through June, I’m inspired by a visit to NYC where I stopped off on Broadway to take in the Musical Six, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art exhibit The Tudors: Art and Majesty in Renaissance England.
