My Tangled in Tudor Times’ time traveling heroine, Bella Salas, keeps me on the trail of Tudor tidbits. This month I consider what survival meant for Henry VIII’s final Renaissance queen, Kathryn Parr, as well as beautiful objects associated with that strong minded, well-educated lady.

My January through June 2023 episodes are inspired by a visit to NYC. There I took in the Musical Six on Broadway, and visited the Metropolitan Museum of Art exhibit The Tudors: Art and Majesty in Renaissance England. That same exhibit recently landed in San Francisco’s Legion of Honor Museum (FAMSF). It closes in September 24 of 2023.
