I read a book last year that has had lasting impact on me. It's called Comparison Girl: Lessons from Jesus on Me-Free Living in a Measure-Up World. In the book she talks a lot about comparing ourselves to others, trying to preform for God's acceptance (which we don't need to), and putting stock in the wrong identity.
