Psalm 17, Isaiah 35.2c-6, Luke 9. 37-54

This miracle happened immediately after the transfiguration. Jesus seems very cross with the helpless disciples, what were they missing? Was the message about the need for community? They were celebrating the Jewish Feast of Booths, camping out together and recalling God's protection. What the disciples missed was that we can't be God's people for the world without the presence of Christ and in the company of one another. It's not an individual sport.
