In chapter 20 there is a new rebellion led by a man named Sheba. David has lost his grip on his kingdom and it has allowed Joab to gain power. Joab will act in vengeance by killing Amasa and then in turn lead the army in its quest to stop the rebellion of Sheba. More and more we notice Joab taking a lead in the kingdom.
