In the old covenant, the people of God had to come to Him with their sacrifices to a place that was set apart and holy. Even then, only a select few could actually approach God. It was complex but incomplete. The sacrifices made weren’t perfect and they really only symbolized the atonement that God had promised to bring. As Pastor Dan continues our study in Leviticus today, we’ll be reminded that in the new covenant, we are made holy, and the sacrifice of Jesus completely covers our sin.
