There are always multiple lessons to be learned from Bible stories. Today, Pastor Dan recounts the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. These three were thrown into the fiery furnace because of their loyalty to God. But we also learn that while in the fire, walking with Jesus, they were at peace and unharmed by the flames. They would have never experienced this closeness with Jesus had they not gone through this fiery trial. So, often is the case with us; through the trial, we grow closer to Jesus.
