The word “prayer” generally means the same thing to all people throughout the world. Sometimes, though, the word’s used for something other than making a request to a god. In the second “Matrix” movie, the word “prayer” is used to describe speaking to the gathering of people – not to god. The major difference between Christian prayer and non-Christian prayer, as Pastor Mark will be teaching about today, is that Christians pray to a personal God – not to an undefined, man-made being.
