When Jesus started his ministry he was disrupting 400 years of Pharisees taking advantage of the Law. They taught that salvation was only for the Jews. However, when Jesus came, He preached salvation for everyone! This included Jews and Gentiles. It went against so many teachings of the day, but that’s just who God is.
