Part 2 - On Saturday, CHANT will host an Oral Histories Preservation Workshop as part of an ongoing effort to create a comprehensive digital archive of our culture and narratives. Artist and archivist David Berg and his research partner Juliana Berry, who also serves as CHANT’s program director, join Neville James for a preview of Saturday’s event and to discuss “Before the Fireburn” project, which seeks to bring a collection of stereographs from the 1850s back to the Virgin Islands in honor of the 175th Emancipation anniversary.
