We live in a world of moral relativism. Whatever we feel is right for us, that’s what we go with. If we read the history of the Jews, there was a point when they lived by the same credo. The Bible says that every man did what was right in his own eyes. Sound familiar? Pastor Mark, teaching from Philippians, reminds us of this aspect of Israel’s history as well as God’s response. God reiterates that He is the one who sets the standard and His standard is perfection. Fortunately for us He has made His Holy Spirit available to indwell us and to give us the power to follow His rules.
