Tabisa Namhla Tshetu holds a National Diploma (Financial Information Systems) from Technikon Witwatersrand, a BCTA (Bridging Certificate in the Theory of Accounting) from the University of Johannesburg and a University of Pretoria, Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS) Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Phd in Transport Economics from the University of Johannesburg. Namhla has over 22 years diversified experience in project, regulatory policy, stakeholder & financial management. Currently she is an Executive at Southern Africa’s largest airline, her responsibilities include the organisation’s aeropolitics management function. This involves championing the start of new commercial routes, while ensuring compliance with domestic and foreign destinations regulations & legislations. Namhla activates relations with regulatory bodies and maintains stakeholder relations on the continent. She joins the RSA DOT delegation in negotiating Bilateral Air Services Agreements with other countries as a member of the Strategic Planning Committee. She has made presentations to the AU formed African Civil Aviation Commission and the UN formed ICAO ICAN 2022 on open skies in Africa.

Ms Khoza has been the Director of Civil Aviation (CEO) for two, five-year terms at the South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA). She is the only woman to have occupied this position since the inception of the SACAA.
she served for two years consecutively as the Chairperson of the International Civil Aviation Organisation’s (ICAO) Aviation Security Panel, a historical position for a woman.
Ms. Khoza has championed the transformation of the SACAA, and it now boasts 50% capable women Executives, a historical achievement under her stewardship.
