Tulsa Crime Report: Shootings, Burglaries, and Narcotics Bust in the City

The Tulsa Police Department reports the following incidents for the week of February 1-7, 2025:

On February 1, officers responded to a shooting near 61st Street and Peoria Avenue. One male victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The incident is under investigation.

A string of residential burglaries occurred in the Brookside neighborhood between February 2-4. Five homes were targeted, with suspects entering through unlocked windows or doors. Electronics and jewelry were reported stolen. Police have increased patrols in the area.

On February 3, police arrested two suspects following an armed robbery at a convenience store near 11th Street and Yale Avenue. The suspects allegedly brandished a firearm and demanded cash from the register before fleeing. Officers apprehended the suspects after a brief vehicle pursuit.

A fatal hit-and-run occurred on February 4 near 21st Street and Garnett Road. A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene. The victim was pronounced dead at the hospital. Police are seeking a dark-colored SUV with front-end damage.

Officers responded to a domestic disturbance call on February 5 in the Pearl District. Upon arrival, they discovered an alleged assault in progress. One suspect was taken into custody without incident.

On February 6, police investigated reports of gunshots in the area of 41st Street and Sheridan Road. Shell casings were recovered at the scene, but no injuries were reported. The incident remains under investigation.

A series of vehicle break-ins occurred in parking lots near Tulsa Hills Shopping Center on February 7. Multiple vehicles had windows smashed, with purses and electronics stolen. Surveillance footage is being reviewed.

In a coordinated operation on February 7, Tulsa Police and federal agents executed search warrants at three locations in connection with an ongoing narcotics investigation. Several suspects were detained, and quantities of illegal drugs were seized. The investigation is ongoing.

Throughout the week, officers conducted increased traffic enforcement operations, resulting in numerous citations for speeding, distracted driving, and failure to yield.

The police department notes a slight uptick in property crimes compared to the previous week, particularly in commercial areas. Residents are reminded to secure their vehicles and belongings.
