The state of Turiya defined in the ancient literature, means the fourth state.  We are familiar with three states of mind: awakened state or objectivity, which is where we are faced with subject-verb-object inevitability; state of sleep where subject-verb-object disappear; and state of dreams where experiences exist but in an involuntary manner.
