Turkish Airlines recently on July 17, 2019, its official opening of a direct flight between Istanbul and the world-famous tourist destination Bali, Indonesia. The new route was carried out by the first Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner that had just joined the Turkish Airlines fleet a few weeks ago. The first flight of the TK 066 was onboard with 250 passengers and the load factor was 84%.

Turkish Airlines has announced that up to 30 new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft will join the airlines' young and fast-growing fleet over the next four years, and each will feature the carrier's bespoke, all-new Business Class Cabins. The Turkish national flag carrier had placed 25 firm + 5 optional orders in last year for the 787-9 Dreamliner, which will be gradually added to its expanding fleet - the youngest in the world - between 2019 and 2023.

When talking about the new Istanbul-Bali route, Kerem Sarp, Turkish Airlines Senior Vice President Sales (2nd Region), said; "While our new generation aircrafts continuing to join our fleet, we feel highly encouraged to launch new direct flights to farther destinations in the world. By inagurating direct flights to Bali, our second destination in Indonesia, we keep strengthening our mission to reach all corners of the world."
