In this episode of the Called Young Podcast, Love and Tobi take a deep dive into the invitation of repentance—is it just a harsh “turn or burn” warning, or is it an opportunity to step back into right standing with God? The time to discern is now.
They unpack how repentance should be embraced rather than escaped. Far from being a burden, repentance is actually a gift from God (Romans 2:4). It is not to be confused with guilt or shame, which come from the enemy (2 Corinthians 7:10). The Bible reminds us in Matthew 3:8, where John the Baptist says, “Produce fruit in keeping with repentance,” calling us to live transformed lives, not just offer empty words.
A lack of reverence for repentance and a tendency toward double-mindedness can cripple our walk in true freedom (James 1:8). Jesus has already paid the price—so why do we still walk around like we are in debt? It’s time to come into agreement with God’s power to make us new (2 Corinthians 5:17).
As we grow in Christ, maintaining an intimate and sacred connection with Him is essential. How do we discern between resting in God’s presence and falling into spiritual complacency? What does it mean to work from a place of peace rather than pressure (Matthew 11:28-30)? Love and Tobi share heartfelt insights to help you reflect on your own faith journey and embrace a bold, Christ-centered life.
This podcast is for the young and fearless leaders who believe in serving their God-given purpose—now, not later! You are Called Young!
