The problem happened when Fawn told her friend, Doe and her mother that Fawn had asked Mr. Buck if she could stay the night. But that wasn’t true. 

When Mr. Buck and Fawn had their talk, he was sorry for failing to fix good meals and Fawn apologized for not being truthful. Talking helped them work out their problems. 

Once Mrs. Buck came home, all was well.

The Exciting Lives of Cupcake and Reggie... three books in a series

Karen gives a brief background of her story. She was already publishing children’s books before the special moment when her family increased with Lhasapoo’s Reggie and Cupcake. These pups were so cute, she decided to write about them. Then their brother, Reno came along six months later. To complete this pack of adorable puppies, within three months, they had added little Yorkipoo’s Rocki and Rambo. 

In Book One, her stories began with The Exciting Lives of Cupcake and Reggie on the scene. Karen shares about the Lhasapoo breed and amazing experiences during the pup’s first Christmas, grooming, puppy training, and so much more. In the end, the pups realize their family may expand. But they’re not sure whether Mommie and Daddy will be getting more pups or farm animals. 

Book Two is entitled The Exciting Lives of Cupcake and Reggie, More Siblings & Adventures! and includes Cupcake and Reggie’s siblings and shares each pup’s personality and talent. Again, information is shared about the Lhasapoo breed for Reno, and the Yorkipoo breed for Rocki and Rambo. Readers can imagine the fun and mischief that happens at home, in the yard, at the pet store, in the community of friends, and even when Mommie and Daddy comfort them when fireworks and storms happen.   

Book Three, The Exciting Lives of Cupcake and Reggie and Siblings with More Experiences, shares more adventures with Cupcake, Reggie, Reno, Rocki, and Rambo as they grow older. The next time they experienced fireworks, the Lhasapoos enjoyed the sounds and colors lighting up the sky with Mommie while the Yorkipoos slept with Daddy. They loved Auntie Denise’s visit, which also gave them an opportunity for more mischief. They all bonded closer with human and doggie friends.

The Pack Of Poo Fly To Hawaii

Karen gives a brief background of her story. As she planned to travel to Hawaii in November 2025, to the Big Island and Kauai, she became inspired to write as if her own puppies had gone to Hawaii for an amazing adventure. 

Because this is a chapter book with several beautiful pictures, she opted to simply read along with emphasis that readers, whether children or adults, bring their printed copy or kindle version to the podcast as she reads. 

There were several exciting points along the pup’s journey in Hawaii, for instance: 

·       How did they get to Hawaii, if not with their parents?

·       How did they eat, drink, and sleep while on the Big Island?

·       What did they do for their gig at the luau?

Some of the pups were sinking in the ocean until Sammy the Sea Turtle (from Sammy and Wade Help Sea Turtles) and Oscar Octopus (from Oscar Octopus and Scuba Stu) come to the rescue. 

While children enjoy this adventurous story filled with adorable animal interactions, they also learn about the puppy breeds and about Hawaii.
