In “Turn to God with Carin,” Carin Jayne Casey introduces William (Bill) H. Lightfoot, a dear friend who is Ret. Sgt. from the Richmond City Police Department, who was investigator in areas such as domestic violence and elder abuse. Bill has vast experience in training organizations about elder abuse for more effective first responders. Elder Abuse was defined as mistreatments of people who are 60+ (and, as in Virginia, those incapacitated age 18 to 59), and forced compliance with demands, involving many risk factors and types of abuse, including neglect. Financial Abuse is especially prevalent. Bill encourages listeners that we can make a difference, individually and as a community through awareness and education.
