Today I’m talking nerdy and talking dirty about pleasure, desire, and sexuality with Courtney Boyer. In this conversation, Courtney and I dive into why people and especially women experience low or no sexual desire, how desire changes over the course of our lives and relationships, the brain systems associated with creating pleasure, how to rekindle desire when it feels like its been lost, and the biological and psychological reasons why you should be creating more space for pleasure in your life.
Courtney Boyer is a relationship and sexuality expert and author of Not Tonight, Honey: Why women actually don't want sex and what we can do about it. She has been featured in publications including Parent’s, Cosmopolitan, The Independent, and The Mirror. Courtney holds a Masters in Education in Human Sexuality and a Master's in Mental Health Counseling, and is also a certified life coach. She is trained in evidence-based methods including NLP, EMDR, IFS, and trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
Before you dive in, I would love it if you could hit pause and leave us a 5 star review and a written review on whatever platform you’re listening on. In doing so, you help get this podcast into the ears and brains of more people like you.
